About Us
Since 2004, Effective Interventions, Inc. has been providing exceptional behavior analytic service and consultation to individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Our agency provides private 1 to 1 sessions with well-trained staff to private clientele in their homes or within a community setting. Additionally, Effective Interventions provides parent and staff training to individuals with Autism and other related behavioral and communication disorders.
Effective Interventions, Inc. contracts with school districts to provide consultation or extended day services to individuals who require Applied Behavior Analysis/ 1 to 1 behavioral services or parent-training mandated on their IEP. Directors:
Nicole Sugrue, President, Executive Director: Nicole completed her coursework in Behavior Analysis through Penn State University. She is a Co-Founder of The Nicholas Center for Autism and Spectrum Designs Foundation, which are non-profit organizations providing life-skill training, vocational and employment opportunities for teens and young adults with Autism and related conditions.Nicole is one of the founders of The ELIJA Foundation, a non-profit organization committed to improving the quality of intervention for individuals with Autism since 2002. Allison Schear, MA, BCBA: Allison received her MA in Special Education from Stonybrook University and is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. Allison consults and supervises staff and learners who receive and implement behavior analytic services. She presents on a variety of topics relating to effective science based teaching strategies. She has over 12 years of direct care experience working with individuals with behavioral and communication disorders. Allison has years of experience communicating with School Administrators, School Personnel, Support Staff and Families. She provides parent training and consultation to those seeking feedback on current or perspective placements in school, community and home based settings.
